Hoyer Lifts help caregivers mobilize loved ones more easily, without requiring several people to do so. In fact, a well-trained caregiver can use a patient lift to move a loved one by themselves, when medical conditions allow. These lifts are offered in many different models to meet many different needs, all of which are designed to make patients feel safe and secure. All offer multiple adjustment points, a wide and sturdy base and wheels to facilitate smooth and trouble-free movement.
Manual models offer a hydraulic lift that is operated with a handle to raise and a release valve to lower. Some models fold to facilitate easy storage. Electric models use motors to facilitate patient movement and are button operated. Some electric models also have monitoring equipment to facilitate lift maintenance and monitor proper usage.
Bariatric models, for larger patients, are also available. Slings and other gear necessary to use a Hoyer Lift are sometimes sold separately.
