Easy access and convenient.

Overall the quality was good for the price if the item.

Pros:Well made and easy to assemble. My mother liked the appearance and the sturdy construction.

Cons:The tray would be ideal if it was larger. Therefore my Mother was a little disappointed.

Fabulous Product!

This device does exactly what it promises to do. My 90-year-old aunt is having great difficulty hoisting herself up from her “spot” on the couch. Once in her spot, it’s hard for her to reach the items she needs (pencil, puzzle, glasses, phone, TV remote, etc.). This Assist-a-Tray makes all of this a breeze. This product is sturdy, easy to assemble (a video is provided on this website), and it isn’t extremely obvious in my aunt’s living room decor. (I wish I’d’ known such a product existed when I had my hips done 7 years ago -- I would have bought one for myself!)

Pros:Sturdy, useful, easy to assemble, not too obtrusive in the room

Cons:Absolutely nothing. It’s perfect.

Overall: Yes, I would recommend this product.

Dad loves it

He doesn't think he needs assistive products. After using it for only 2 hrs, used handle to stand; said it was great and thanked me. Uses it many hrs. of the day.

Pros:2 in 1 design is a space saver. Easy assembly; sturdy.

Cons:Using under a chair that moves a little; need to check chair feet a lot.

Overall: Yes, I would recommend this product.

Excellent tool

Very convenient and the assist handle provides great support

Pros:Good support. Tray is very convenient. I really like the way it swivels all the way around.

Cons:Difficult assembly. At my age and with my weaker hands, there was no way I could push the buttons to move the handle up or down nor could I move the extender. I paid a handyman $85.00 to come and do the work and his fingers were red with the effort. I believe that means it is very stable now and will not move. Also, the bushings were easily damaged as I/he moved the buttons. In fact, the one on leg extender was damaged beyond usage, but since that is purely for asthestics, we will live without a bushing. Also, the tray tends to tilt slightly. Maybe it was intended that way.

Overall: Yes, I would recommend this product.

A very convenient tray

Mom loves this tray. Good size. She also loves the handle that comes with it -- helps her get out of the chair.

Pros:Very convenient. Can be pushed out of the way when done using.

Cons:Frustrated that it doesn't work well with chairs on bars instead of 4 legs (makes chair uneven). Also, a little harder to push tray aside than I would like (Mom is weak and it's hard for her).

Overall: Yes, I would recommend this product.

Unique and very useful device

Works great with recliner or sofa. Alleviates the problem of eating with plate and utensils on lap, and provides a convenient place to lay glasses, books, papers, etc. Handle is great for steadying when transitioning from standing to sitting or vice versa.

Pros:Very well thought out, easy to assemble, tray/table swings completely around and also rotates 360 degrees. Large flat feet allow for secure positioning under furniture. Also nice that tray/table is independently replaceable in case of damage. Wood finish on table is quite nice; better than expected.

Cons:Cup holder is not deep enough, table can't be lowered quite enough for a low chair or recliner, and feet don't work well with recliners that sit on two bars instead of four feet.

Overall: Yes, I would recommend this product.

Thanks for this product!

Table with handle/support was for Mom, and her comment to me was "Whatever you paid for this, it is worth that and more." It has been an invaluable assist & safety aid...love that the table pivots both clockwise a d counter-clockwise. I (daughter) assembled without much difficulty, thanks to the fairly easy-to-follow instructions.

Overall: Yes, I would recommend this product.

Waiting for the part

It seems solid. Unfortunately the bottom was defective, and i was not able to put it together. The manufacturer was super nice on the phone, and said they are sending me replacement. Waiting for that now.

Assist A Tray

This is a GREAT help for me with the swivel table and handle assist. The base will extend and fit under the couch for left-side support with added weight, and for use under one side of a chair, a "shim" on the opposite side provides stability. My husband suggested bolting it to the floor. I love it!

Assist A Tray

I bought this for my Mom, who is recovering from a stroke. She just got an iPad for her birthday and it's hard for her to hold it on her lap. The table arrived one day after I ordered it and was very easy to set up. The chair she uses in the living room tilted a bit when we put the base under one side, so we put the base alongside her chair, weighted with a small table. For that reason, she can't use the handle to pull herself up, but that's not why we got this. The table is easy for her to swing into and out of position, and it works great for the iPad and for meals when she is eating alone. I am very happy with the product and the prompt delivery -- and so is my Mom.

Assist A Tray

I bought this for my brother who is handicapped. The swivel tray is great, but the base does not fit under his recliner, so he cannot use the handle to pull himself up with.

I brought this tray for my 95 yr old mother to use with her new laptop computer. It's perfect! It assembled in 5 minutes. It's sturdy. The tray swivels easily when she wants it closer or wants it out of her way to get up. Much easier to use than regular overbed tables on wheels that have to be pushed and pulled which is difficult and require arm strength especially if the floor is carpeted. The handle is excellent for stability and safety when she is getting to her feet. I am going to order another for her so she will have one for her chair in the livingroom and another at her bed.
