I needed a smaller wheel chair to take on trips that would not be as heavy and awkward as a regular size wheelchair.
Pros:This smaller wheelchair is much lighter, easier to get in and out of car, easier to put on foot rests and makes getting in and out of tight spaces much better.
Cons:The only 2 slight annoyances are that it's a bit more difficult to push up a steeper walkway because of the smaller wheels and the brakes take a bit getting used to as they are lower. But I have found that I can brake or unbrake with my feet from the rear of the chair, so I'm getting used to that and it doesn't bother me. Also pushing your husband uphill is great exercise for an old lady!
Overall: Yes, I would recommend this product.
If narrow doors are the problem, even this chair may not be a solution if a bathroom inside is tight for space to maneuver.
Pros:It will do the job but with some obvious limitations unrelated to the chair quality. My chair measures 15 inches inside the armrests and 17 inches across the seat. My wife is 5'5", 140 lbs. "evenly distributed". The fit between the armrests was snug. To help you decide on size, maybe place two 12" or so 2'x4's flat on a kitchen chair 15" apart then have the would-be user slowly sit on the chair. If his/her caboose significantly overlaps the inside edge of the 2x4's the smaller size is going to be too small...in my opinion.
Cons:Removable armrests would be a meaningful improvement. It can be done without compromising structural integrity or foldability(is that a word?). I think metal fabricators could do that sort of thing on their coffee break.

This transport chair comes fully assembled and collapses to a surprisingly small size for easy storage. It's also very sturdy and much more comfortable than other transport chairs I've used.
Pros:Fabulous price for such a high-quality product.
Cons:None

When I received the chair it was exactly as it looked on the picture. Was very pleased with it!!
Pros:We like that it's smaller and not as heavy to lift as a regular wheelchair. We especially like the swing away foot rests!!! That is an awesome feature. So much easier to get them out of the chair when you don't have to go around fixed foot rests!!! It also maneuvers really well in and out of smaller doorways. That's the main reason I ordered this particular chair. It is also very easy to push and turn. Would totally recommend this narrow fit transport chair!!!

Now I do not have to depend on getting one of those handicap carts at the stores if there is not one. I keep this in the trunk of my car.
Pros:Serves the purpose for why I purchased it.
Cons:none
Overall: Yes, I would recommend this product.
