New rail design easier for caregivers

Opening the rail instead of folding it down makes it much easier to transfer patient in and out of bed. It eliminates bumping into the rail that typically happens when a traditional rail is folded down.

Pros:Makes bed transfers easier and safer

Cons:The tie down strap in the box was not the same one illustrated in the documentation and could not be used.

Overall: Yes, I would recommend this product.

Smart rail bed rail is ingenious

My mother just loves the smart rail bed rail. It helps her sit up from a laying position and she can easily move it out of her way to stand while also supporting her. She loves it.

Pros:Very simple and easy to install, but very sturdy. It’s universal so you can make it open to the left or to the right depending on how you put it together.

Cons:None that we can find.

Overall: Yes, I would recommend this product.

Fall cautions

My loved one fell twice in the first 4 nights using this product.

Pros:Creative design. Requires high functioning cognitive ability to properly balance while pulling up.

Cons:With diminished cognitive ability, the ability to use the rail when rotated out is difficult. It does not lock in place when out, so it shifts, causing falls.

Overall: No, I would not recommend this product.
