This traction device really works. It allows for a gentle stretching of the neck which releaves chronic and situational beck pain and tightness
Overall: Yes, I would recommend this product.
First, I will start with my background story. For 7 years I suffered from chronic neck and back pain which was mainly caused from poor posture and continuing to lift my disabled brother daily when taking care of him. An MRI showed some narrowing of the spine in my neck, but was not severe enough for doctors to do anything about it. The muscles in my neck and lower back were extremely tight, stiff, and painful. I even tried various supplements to help the muscles feel better, but did not notice any improvements in the muscles that have chronic pain. Many nights it was difficult just rolling over in bed because the lower back muscles did not want to move. Severe inflammation of the muscles would not improve at all despite trying almost every natural and over-the-counter pain relief creams. My job is working on a computer, and even when adjusting my posture to try to reduce the pain, I still had lots of chronic pain, headaches, and shoulder pain that was on its way to becoming chronic too. I tried everything to improve the pain including chiropractic adjustments and completing one of the best intensive physical therapy programs in the country. They only helped to a certain degree which was not anywhere near solving the chronic neck and back pain. My boyfriend massaged my neck and back regularly for the 4 years we have been together so far, but the minor relief only lasted a day at the most. I did not know of anything else that could possibly help with the pain. Going back to physical therapy was not a good option for me because the neck exercises caused immediate nausea and dizziness that would last the rest of the day. At age 37, I started to assume that I might be stuck with this pain for the rest of my life, but deep inside of me there was some hope that maybe someday I would find something that might help. One day while doing more research online for chronic pain, I stumbled upon the Posture Pump. As usual, I read a bunch of reviews on Amazon and then compared prices to find the Posture Pump for the lowest price which was here at Parent Giving. All the reviews I read were amazing and people with much worse conditions than mine were having miraculous improvements. Thanks to reading reviews from other people, I knew that the Posture Pump had great potential to help change my life for the better. It is very important to follow the instructions exactly, and to stop and readjust the Posture Pump if it does not feel like it is in the correct spot (you will feel pain if it is not positioned correctly; I did that a couple times in the beginning). The device is kind of like a blood pressure pump with the pumping feature. You simply squeeze it up to 7 pumps maximum. The air release valve just needs to be pushed down and held until all the air is out, so it is very easy to use. When I first started, I could only go up to 3 pumps. Every day I added on 1 more minute, and tried to increase my pumps by at least 1/2 or a full pump every day. Between 3 1/2 and 5 pumps, I had to stay at the same number for 2 consecutive days before increasing to the next half or full number because that is what felt best for my neck. Once I got up to 5 pumps, I was able to easily get up to 6 the next day, and then 7 the following day. The instructions say to start out at only 5 minutes your first day, and work your way up to 15 minutes daily. It was my idea to add on 1 more minute each day which worked great to get up to the 15 minutes daily. Reading reviews from other people taught me that it is only necessary to commit to using the Posture Pump daily until the neck feels much better, then people wrote they only needed to use it occasionally. I am still in the process of using it daily since it has only been 2 weeks, but I can very easily see myself not needing to use it every day after awhile. On the right side of my neck there always used to be a large bump that I called 'the rock' because it was hard, about the size of a golf ball, and caused severe pain. After 2 weeks of using the posture pump 'the rock' is gone. I am also almost to the point of being able to say the chronic pain is gone. It is so amazing and miraculous that this product, which was created by doctors with decades of experience in neck and back pain, has worked so quickly to improve not only my neck but surprisingly my back too. After using the Posture Pump, I feel a warm, soothing, relaxing sensation in my neck, shoulders, and lower back. These awesome feelings are from more blood flowing easier into those areas. When more blood can get into those areas, more oxygen and nutrients can also get into the sore muscles to help them heal. The most surprising part for me was that my lower back muscles also improved greatly along with feeling warm and relaxed from more blood flowing into those areas too. Scientifically, I cannot explain why my lower back is healing simply from working only on the neck with the Posture Pump; it is completely amazing. My plan was to start working on the neck with the Posture Pump, and then in the future buy the device for the lower back. But now I might not need to buy the product for the lower back because simply using the Posture Pump for the neck is helping the lower back too. Both my neck and lower back, shoulders, and shoulder blades feel like there is more blood flowing into them, there is less pain, the muscles are looser, and I have tons of hope for living without any chronic pain in the near future. I highly recommend the Posture Pump to anyone who has any kind of neck problem or is simply suffering from pain due to sitting at a computer for extended periods of time. I have used thick books to boost the height of my laptop so I can continue to have better posture while the Posture Pump is working on improving the neck.
Pros:Everything! It is much more than what I expected and I can easily say this device is a miracle to me.
Cons:Nothing, except I wish I would have found this product years ago.
Overall: Yes, I would recommend this product.
