This company was started in 2002 and is based in Santa Monica, California. Their program was developed for active seniors and for people with mildly diminished brain function. They have taken approved neurological tests and brain fitness exercises and developed them into games that are enjoyable to play. The system is designed to be user friendly for seniors who are not comfortable around computers.
There are five challenge levels and seniors are encouraged to play for 20 minutes at least three times per week. Dakim says its program will provide brain “cross-training” across six areas of brain functioning: short-term memory, long-term memory, language, calculation, visual and critical thinking. Brain games may include movie clips and music. New games can be downloaded via the internet. The software and a one-year subscription for new content cost $249.95.
