Tendersorb™ Wet-Pruf™ abdominal pads can be used as a primary dressing over large incisions and trauma sites and/or as a secondary dressing over heavily exudating wounds to provide cushioning protection and absorbency. Tendersorb pads consist of three layers: outer nonwoven layer, fluff filler, and WET-PRUF™ backing. The outer nonwoven layer is soft,quickly wicking fluid away from the wound. The fluff filler absorbs and disperses moisture, using 65% of the pad to act as a reservoir, capturing exudates and helping to prevent contamination of the wound. Finally, the WET-PRUF™ backing retards fluid strike-through protecting both the patient and caretaker. All four sides are sealed to prevent leaking and lint residue as well as to prevent possible wound contamination.
