Yes the plastic could be heavier but this product works fine and completely protects the mattress from unexpected "spills". At the price, it's terrific.
Really poor quality!

I bought this cover for my mother. The zipper was broken ( and no, it wasn't broken by me), and I had no choice but to use it anyway. The strength ( or lack there of) of the plastic is laughable at best. Just really disappointed in the product overall.
