The EZ Fold Metal Bed Rail from Standers Inc. is 30 inches long and easily pivots/folds down and out of the way. This rail was designed to prevent elderly and handicap people from falling out of bed, as well as a support bar for helping them get in and out of the bed. It can be used with any size home or hospital bed. Space between rails is 3". At 23" high this rail will accommodate taller pillow top mattresses. This rail can be used on Twin, Full, Queen and King size beds.

Features:

Metal bed rail folds down and out of the way when it isn't in use.
Rail weighs only 12 lbs.
Bed rail pivots when the two levers are pulled out.
Rail is reversible; can be installed on either side of the bed.
No installation needed; rail has "arms" that extend out and are slipped in between the box spring and mattress.
Includes dual safety straps that clip to the bed frame for added stability
Dimensions: 30"L x 23"W x 23"H.
Weight Capacity: 400lbs.
Needs 18" clearance from installtion point to the floor to extend fully down the side of the bed.

Can be used on Craftmatic style (adjustable) beds. Must be installed between the pivot points.Not suitable for Sleep Number beds or beds with a light, thin mattress.

Buying for myself

Not appropriate for a pillow top mattress.

Reasonably well made, at a reasonable cost. Needs to be "extended" in "height (below the rotation points) if used on a bed with pillow top mattress, or less than18" from top of box spring to floor.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this product.

Pros:	Works OK, after being modified.
Cons:	Needed to be modified/

EzFold Bed Rail

Product arrived damaged. One of the pull knobs was broken and sharp. I find the unit somewhat "floppy" when installed, and does not give me much confidence.

EZ Fold Bed Rails

The instructions were a bit confusing but once we figured it out it was very fast to assemble. I feel very fortunate that these rails are keeping my grandmother in her bed. I do not need to constrantly worry if she will fall out of bed. They strong enough to withhold her weight even if that is not their main purpose. She has not been able to get out of bed and that is a good thing.
