These popular mattress pads (mattress toppers) from Val Med are latex-free bedding foam mattress pads that provide superior weight distribution for reclining support, comfort and pressure relief. The design is eco-friendly and features new green technology based on plant-based material instead of 100% petroleum. Fits standard hospital beds and twin beds. The pad is green. Flame retardant - meets California 117.Contains ureathane.

Great product, great price, great service
we bought these to replace the pads in our kennel's dog beds and cut them to fit. They expanded quickly with no odor. Egg Crate Mattress Pad
I bought a bed 18 months ago, an expensive Sealy, and it's already sagging in the middle. This egg crate mattress top is perfect for a single user who needs support in the middle of the bed. Immediately my back problems ended. I put the mattress topper in an allergy-free mattress protector, twin size (I have a queen-size bed). There was no odor at all, even though it is 75% petroleum-based. I was able to use the product that very night. The four inch expanded to the full-size in a few hours. I ordered at around 2pm Pacific Time and received it the following day. I do notice that every week I have to take it out of the mattress protector and put it in a curved shaped on top of my bed so that it goes back to it full thickness again. I put the mattress in its cover under the mattress pad.| Pros: | Next-day delivery, and I ordered at 2pm Pacific time! Very comfortable (four inch) Resolved my back problems (I sleep on it 8 hours at night) No odor No flaking - made of high-quality foam Good for a single sleeper who is experiencing sagging in the middle of a fairly new bed (less than 5 to 7 years). Affordable -- if the topper flattens after a year, another one is very affordable. |
| Cons: | Need to take it out of the mattress cover and out from under the mattress pad, put it in a circle, to fully expand. I do this weekly when I'm changing the sheets and its not very burdensome. The mattress pad, mattress cover, and everyday use flattens it a little after a week. I sleep on it 8 hours at night. |

Egg Crate Mattress Pad - Twin Bed size
Item was exactly as advertised & I received it in less than 24 hours! I bought it to add to our dog's bed. We have hardwood floors & the dog bed I bought at Petsmart just doesn't have the quality egg crate foam so it left our 50lb. lab-pitbull mix lying on a not-so soft bed. I cut the piece for her bed & had more than enough left over to place another piece under the blankets I have for her in another room.

I actually bought this to cut in half and use for a dog bed for my boxer. She absolutely loves it! I think personally if I bought this for myself, it would have to be thicker. Didn't seem very thick until I cut it in half and stacked them together.

Great product, very durable. I actually am not using this on a bed, I am using it to pack miniature models for transport on an almosy daily type use. Very useful stuff and the price can't be beat since you can't get it in the major dept stores that I've found.

When I saw the egg crate foam mattress pads in the sealed plastic, I hoped they would get thicker after sitting out, open in the air. And, happily, that was the case. They are a good value for the price.

It's too small
This 'pad' is 4 inches narrower and 8 inches shorter than a hospital bed. Unless you like falling off an edge, don't buy it.

Made 4 orthopedic dog beds
I bought two twin size egg crate pads to make beds for our two 10 yr old dogs. Our dogs are large, newly adopted rescues, I used the smaller sections that were left to make two smaller beds for the rescue that removed them from a hoarding situation. "The Girls" love their new beds and when they require even more padding, I will order two more egg crate mattresses. They're wonderful!!

Egg crate is not 2 dog beds
I bought this to make a bed for my old dog who is having hip and spine problems. I made 2 beds out of the twin size, one for her in the house to get her up off the floor and a smaller one to go outside in her dog house in the dog kennel. It has help her since she does not lay on the cold concrete any longer. She likes the firmness of the product and the height is not so high that she would wobble like other dog beds who have too much stuffing and not enough support for large dogs.

I have a foam mattress but still work up with back pain. With the egg crate pad the pain has been reduced by about 75 percent making a big difference for me. I would highly recommend it.

I bought the egg crate mattress to cut apart and use for my wheelchair seat. I had a surface to sit on on the wheelchair which gave little resistance. So, I cut the egg crate into 4 pieces and have 2 sets of cushions to sit on......works great.

I ordered a 3 inch thick foam pad and got a 2inch in some areas and 2 1/2 in other spots.Very uneven cut,almost looks as if it was used when I got it.NOT HAPPY! sending it back.
