Originally from Rhode Island, Helen met and later married her husband Dan who was serving in the US Navy in Newport, RI. In 1992 Helen and Dan moved back to Naples. With unbridled energy and enthusiasm Helen earned her degree in Hospitality Management and embarked on a career in Hospitality that included; Sales, Human Resources and Operations.
In 1999, Helen had a higher calling and wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. Helen joined the fight against cancer and worked with the American Cancer Society for several years. Later, Helen joined Eastern Virginia Medical School’s outreach program called Every Woman’s Life where she coordinated life saving medical screenings for disadvantaged and indigent women.
Upon moving back to Florida, Helen worked as a Corporate Social Responsibility Manager where she was the liaison between corporations and non-profit agencies in South Florida. Little did Helen know that while she was providing non-profit agencies with much needed assistance, she would find her true calling… becoming an ADVOCATE FOR SENIORS.
Helen facilitated projects at several Assisted Living Facilities and Adult Day Centers in South Florida and was so impacted by the experience that she worked in her off time to study under professionals
that have operated an Adult Day Center for the past sixteen years. Within two years, Helen has followed her passion and calling to become the Executive Director of the City of Naples 1st Adult Day Center…Ardent Manor.
Helen’s whole life has prepared her for the journey to not just care for seniors, but to truly be an advocate and provide a place that is warm, friendly, safe and fun.
